Garlic Soy Asparagus

Updated: Jul 12, 2019

I got this recipe from my sister and I never turned back. This is absolutely my favorite asparagus recipe and it has become a definite crowd pleaser. Roast it, grill it, share it. Even my kids like this one. It's super easy too.

What you'll need:

1 Bunch of Asparagus

2-4 Tbsp *Low Sodium Soy Sauce(See note below)

2-3 Tsp Minced Garlic

How to prepare:

Preheat the oven or grill to 400F. Cut off the ends of the asparagus leaving the freshest parts that will cook well. Place them in a dish where they can lay flat. Add the soy sauce and garlic over the spears and toss until they are even coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes, though this can be prepped earlier in the day and cooked later. When ready to cook, lay them out in a single layer on a baking sheet and cook for 15 minutes, continue to check on them every 5 minutes until they are cooked through, but still have some bite. Enjoy!

*This is the basic low sodium soy sauce I used -

Kikkoman Low Sodium Soy Sauce

If you have gluten sensitivity, you can use this brand -

Tamari Low Sodium Gluten Free Soy Sauce

If you follow a Paleo style diet you can use this in its place -

Braggs Liquid Aminos
