One Pot Beef Chili

Updated: Aug 9, 2019

Beef chili is fantastic. So full of flavor and so many varieties it can't be boring! So the focus becomes how to make it healthy friendly while retaining the flavors so we don't lose interest. This recipe is easy, time friendly and good for the family. Let me know what you think!

What You'll Need:

1lb Lean Ground Beef

1 Medium Onion - Chopped

1 14oz can Diced or Petite Diced Tomatoes

1 15oz can Tomato Sauce

4oz Green Chilis (Or 1 4oz can Green Chilis)

1 tsp Garlic - Minced

1 tbsp Chili Powder

1/2 tsp Dried Oregano

1/2 tsp Ground Cumin

1/2 tsp Black Pepper

1/4 tsp Salt

How To Prepare:

Preheat your pan to medium heat and add the beef, onion and garlic. Cook until the beef is well browned and drain excess fluid. Not necessary to drain everything, having some fat is natural. Return the pan to the burner and add the rest of the ingredients. Once it is heated through reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30-60 mins. The longer it simmers the more the flavors will cook through.

Optional Toppings:

Paleo - 1/4 C diced avocado

Keto Friendly - Shredded Cheddar Cheese, 2 tbsp Greek Yogurt

Just for fun, and a little extra kick - Crispy Fried jalepeños.
