Homemade Ranch Dip

A good veggie dip is so good to have on hand. Whether it's for a party or afternoon snacks, a tasty dip always seems to make things better, doesn't it? This is a healthy revamp of a family party classic we always had growing up. Instead of sour cream and mayonnaise it's Greek yogurt and cream cheese. Instead of packaged seasoning, I use every day seasonings from my pantry to make this every bit as flavorful as the old store-bought version.

My friends and co-workers are fans and my husband let his coworkers try some and he was quickly out of both veggies and ranch! It's super simple, just make it at least a couple of hours ahead of when you want to serve to give time for the flavors to properly blend together.

You can use the base for any kind of cream based dip that would regularly call for mayonnaise and sour cream, making this recipe extremely versatile!

What You'll Need:

- Base -

1 1/2 C Non-fat Greek Yogurt

4 oz 1/3 Reduced Fat Cream Cheese

1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

1/2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Ground Mustard

- Ranch Seasoning -

2 Tsp Dried Chives

1 tsp Dried Parsley

1 tsp dried dill

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp ground black pepper

How To Prepare:

This is easiest to prepare in a small food processor because it is easier to blend the cream cheese with the yogurt. It is also easier to let the cream cheese warm to room temperature for it to blend without leaving chunks in the dip, but these are just bonus tips.

In a small food processor, or a bowl, mix together all of the base items until blended completely.

Next add the seasonings and blend until well mixed. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours, but better if it is overnight.

Serve with confidence! Everyone will love it!
